Organization Description:
- Book Distribution & Publishing Company offers a team
position for 2-3 members in the area of server
administration. Learn how to maintain a small business
client server system with five workstations with hands
on experience.
- Opportunity to meet with other teams and to
learn about the trade book publishing industry topics
ranging from acquisitions, book production/design,
sales/marketing, PR/publicity, operations, AR/AP,
subsidiary rights.
Description:
- With minimal direction:
- Map Drives
- Maintain software/programs
- Trouble shoot hardware/software conflicts
- Set-up and maintain MS Outlook Exchange
- Set-up and maintain backup to all workstations
- Maintain firewall (Sonicwall)
- Maintain anti-virus systems (Symantec)
- Other tasks of a similar nature as assigned
Qualifications Desired:
- System knowledge or willingness to learn MS Server for
Small Business 2003, MS Vista 2007, MS Office
Professional 2007
- Computer Science Degree preferable but not limited
to
- May be great opportunity for grad student
- Prior administrative experience or coursework desirable
