Title & Marketing Schedule to PublisherPublishing production, Marketing and Sales collateral schedule deadlines will be made available to all publishers on a seasonal basis.
Title Management Database from PublisherPublishers are required to submit title specific information per title on a seasonal basis into the form, and return the form to our office. This information will be used for creating sales collateral, as input into our purchase order processing and accounting software, tracking inventory, and for marketing and catalog purposes.
Create Sales CollateralWe create tip sheets that will be provided to the sale rep groups for seasonal catalogs, spring/winter tip sheet catalog.
Seasonal CatalogsBook Hub produces two semi-annual catalogs, one in spring and the other in summer. They are mailed to all current independent booksellers, a select list of librarians, specialty retailers and museum stores.
Website PresenceBook Hub’s website is available to trade/wholesalers or consumers. Wholesale buyers can use the title specific information or reviews for purchasing decisions. Book Hub offers not only our website which consumers can shop by category, author and publisher, but we also have a blog and a fan page on facebook.
Our Book Hub Blog is currently under development, and will allow for community forum, highlight upcoming books, authors, categories, and reviews.

Annual ShowsBEA, Frankfurt Book Fair
Book Hub staff and sales representation attends Book Expo America during late May to advertise our titles and reach out to new perspective publishers.
Frankfurt Book Fair is the largest international subsidiary rights show which allows Book Hub to share our publisher’s properties. Our goal is to license properties for eBook, audio book and foreign language to publishers attending the fair.
We look forward to creating appointments well in advance of these important networking opportunities on behalf of our contracted publisher clients.
National Representation GroupsBeginning Spring 2010 Book Hub is pleased to announce, having signed contracts with major regional sales groups, including: Parson Weems' Publisher Services, Eichkorn & Associates, Southern Book Travelers, and McLemore/Hollern & Associates. These sales groups represent Book Hub’s catalog to major book chain accounts including: national book wholesalers, independent booksellers, mass market, libraries, educational accounts, museums, and gift channels.
Follow-up with BuyersTo ensure follow through from sales meetings conducted by sales representation groups, a rigorous program of follow-up is conducted by phone, fax, email and in-person. The purpose of these meetings is to ensure that all titles represented are fully considered for purchase. Purchase orders are secured in the field and transmitted to the Book Hub headquarters for processing and fulfillment.
Co-op Marketing RepresentationBook Hub creates solutions for the challenges of cost-effective marketing in support of publisher’s seasonal title lists. Services include: authors tours, mailings, trade and consumer advertising, book specific collateral (book marks, reading group guides), social networking (facebook and blogging), trade shows, and SEO (search engine optimization).
Pick/Pack/ShipOur warehouse and distribution center in Ann Arbor, MI receives and processes purchase orders. All orders ship within 24-48 hours upon receipt.

Book Hub offers the following services at our warehouse in Ann Arbor, MI: title storage, mailings, rejacketing, price clipping, price stickering, errata/correction slips, display, promotional setup, prepacks, counter displays, returns and physical inventory.
Packing SlipsPacking slips are included to ensure proper receipt of products at the destination and to assist the accounts payable department.
Advance Shipping NoticesAn ASN is an electronic means of notifying a receiving warehouse of an impending shipment. We do this to ensure that the books are received in an timely and efficient manner.
Invoice/Accounts ReceivableAs soon as shipments leave the warehouse, an invoice is created and sent to the customer which begins the accounts receivable process.
Sales ReportsAt month close, Book Hub creates an array of sales reports to capture sales per account for each publisher’s titles. These reports aid in projecting accounts receivable, cash flow analysis, inventory control, and financial forecasting.
Inventory ManagementBook Hub captures inventory sales on a monthly basis. We use our in-house iPub software to facilitate capturing inventory in an accurate manner so that we may account for accurate, current accounting.
Publishers may request an audit of inventory twice per year.
Payment to PublisherPublishers are paid 90 days after the month wherein net sales occurred. Net sales is the total amount billed to customers reduced by returns and uncollected amounts.
