We would be honored to serve as your sub-rights agent. We represent the following types of subsidiary rights:
• English language publishers for edition rights: this primarily means that if a publisher in the US or Canada wants to publish a hard bound first edition, then the trade paper or mass market first editions could be sold in to another publisher.
• Book club rights for any edition to Book of the Month Club (or similar company) where they print any edition they license. The publisher receives usually a small advance and a royalty. Reports and royalties are conducted every 6-12 months.
• Foreign language rights to any edition. We work with co-agents in the foreign countries and they know the array of publishers and can most readily expose titles to appropriate companies. We meet directly with the co-agents as well at Frankfurt Book Fair.
• Books online are becoming more popular. A full softcopy pdf or book is made available when sufficient interest is made. The publisher is responsible for the cost and for shipment to the requesting party.
Book Hub will require your publishing company to input title information into a MS Access spreadsheet and to provide covers for online title listings. We would construct the pages and ask a reasonable setup fee congruent with the quantity of titles and setup time involved to build and upload the catalog sheets.
Please contact our Subsidiary Rights Assistant, Alexandra Pezone, if you have any interest or questions.
