Organization Description:
-Book Distribution Company offers a team position in the area of customer service and data base development. Learn about the trade book industry with hands on experience.
- Opportunity to meet with other teams and to
learn about the trade book publishing industry topics
ranging from acquisitions, book production/design,
sales/marketing, PR/publicity, operations, AR/AP,
subsidiary rights.
Description: With direction:
1. Data entry for building publisher client solicitations
2. Build marketing collateral to publishers
3. Send emails, faxes, mailers to publishers
4. Receive books and manuscripts for evaluation and confirm to publisher
5. Assist to evaluate editorial and market demand of submission
6. Enter title information to title data base
7. Exposure to the industry through presentations covering acquisitions, editorial vision, book design/production, sales/marketing, PR/publicity, operations, software/technical, AR/AP, and books as interface with internet.
Qualifications Desired:
-Familiarity with MS Office, MS Word, Excel, willingness to learn new software. Any combination of interest and abilities to demonstrate skill required. Must be a team oriented individual.
-Print, business, literature, computer science.
